The new Trustmark branch in Gluckstadt off of Calhoun Station Parkway is on track to open at the beginning of the year, bank officials said.

Entergy crews installed street lights along Gluckstadt Road this week as the first of three lighting projects they have slated for the city.

Gluckstadt Mayor Walter Morrison said he has wanted a Post Office for the past two years, and plans are finally starting to come into focus. 

The $26 million Reunion Parkway extension over I-55 that broke ground earlier this month will open up economic development and relieve traffic congestion here, officials say.
