Football

Tyshun Willis, Velma Jackson, Sr.

Tyshun Willis did it all for the Falcons in their 32-12 win over Leake Central on Friday night. Willis totalled 151 yards and two touchdowns rushing, 105 yard and a touchdown rushing, a 48-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown, 8.5 tackles, four tackles for loss, and two sacks on the night.

Softball

Mary Alice Holmes, Canton Academy, So.

Holmes had a great performance on Monday night to send Canton Academy to the MAIS 4A North winners’ bracket finals with a 9-0 win over Manchester Academy. Pitching, she only gave up one hit in the shutout, along with seven strikeouts. At the plate, she went two for three with a homerun.

Soccer

Maddie Caldwell, Jackson Prep, Sr.

Caldwell had a great game, scoring a hat-trick in a 8-1 win over Hartfield Academy for Jackson Prep, as the Patriots get ready for the postseason.

Volleyball

Diana Wells, Germantown, Sr.

Wells had a very solid week on the court for the Mavericks, compiling 28 kills, 27 digs, and three blocks on the week.
