Light-a-Light fundraiser underway
Providing holiday cheer to Mississippi’s healthcare heroes and youngest patients, the BankPlus presents Light-a-Light event kicked off December 7 at the children’s hospital’s annual Tree-Lighting Ceremony.
For those pediatric patients spending Christmastime at Children’s of Mississippi, their hospital stay will now be a little brighter, thanks in part to the generosity of donors who purchase a light on the ceremonial tree. The Friends of Children’s Hospital’s oldest fundraiser, Light-a-Light, not only provides festive décor, but more importantly, raises critical funds for Mississippi’s only hospital dedicated solely to caring for kids.
Individual lights may be purchased for $10 and donated in honor or memory of a loved one, or an eternal light, illuminated and acknowledged each year, may be purchased for $250. Likewise, corporate giving is another way to add some sparkle to the Children’s of Mississippi corridors. These lights are sure to make a lasting impression on both the recipient and the children hospitalized at Christmas. Honorees receive a special card with your company logo printed on it, as well as the holiday greeting of your choice.
