JBHM Architecture presents Merit Award to Entergy
JBHM Architecture is celebrating its recognition as one of the region's top architect firms by presenting its 2019 AIA Merit Award to Entergy Mississippi in appreciation of the Entergy Distribution and Operations Center renovation in downtown Jackson. Led by JBHM Architecture, the project was announced as a Merit Award winner during AIA Mississippi's annual awards event in October 2019.
JBHM president and chief executive officer Richard McNeel presented the award to Haley Fisackerly, Entergy Mississippi president and CEO, and Robbin Jeter, Entergy Mississippi vice president of distribution operations.
"What a privilege to work with Entergy Mississippi in the realization of the Entergy South Street Distribution Operation Center renovation," said McNeel. "The success of this project originates from the working relationships between the client, the users, the facility maintenance group, and engineers, as well as the contractor and many subcontractors.
The renovated property houses Entergy Mississippi's state-of-the-art electric distribution operations center, which manages thousands of miles of electric lines that serve the utility's customers.
Since its opening in 1970, JBHM Architects has grown from a small office founded in Tupelo, Mississippi to a regional multi-discipline design firm that includes architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design. While the design of educational facilities remains one of the firm's core specialties, JBHM is a regional and national leader in industrial, heath care, education, civic and corporate sectors.
