GLUCKSTADT — No injuries were reported after a school bus carrying 22 students from Germantown Middle School crashed on Yandell Road Wednesday morning.

Gluckstadt Police Chief Barry Hale said officers were dispatched to the scene near the intersection of Aulenbrock Road at about 8 a.m.

According to Hale, traffic suddenly stopped, and the school bus could not stop in time. He said the bus hit a truck, and that truck hit another vehicle.

Hale said two vehicles, including the school bus, were towed from the scene, which took about an hour and a half to clear.

Gene Graham, director of communications for the Madison County School District, said they notified parents of the students, and another bus transported them to the school.

Germantown Middle School serves students in grades 6 through 8.

Hale said no charges were expected.
