GLUCKSTADT — A Southaven man was arrested Friday for stealing a trailer at a business here, Gluckstadt police said.

The man, Rodney Duke Spencer, 20, was arrested and charged with larceny.

Spencer was picked up in Southaven on Friday, Aug. 11, and was picked up Monday from the Desoto County Detention Center by GPD, Assistant Police Chief Barry Hale said.

“Thank you for all the hard work by our officers and detectives for getting this subject identified and to the Southaven Police Department for help in capturing Mr. Spencer,” Hale said.

He had his initial appearance on Wednesday morning and was given a $30,000 bond on the charge of grand larceny.

Spencer remains in custody in the Madison County Detention Center.

On July 2, Spencer allegedly took a trailer loaded with detailing equipment from 396 Business Park Drive after the fence it was stored behind was damaged, Hale said.

“The investigation is ongoing at this time with more suspects to be identified in the future,” Hale said.
