Madison County Schools is pleased to announce Dr. Nason Lollar as principal of the Madison Career and Technical Center (MCTC). Dr. Lollar brings to this lead administrator position more than two decades of experience in education as a classroom teacher, coach, and administrator.

“This role as principal at the Madison Career and Technical Center presents another wonderful opportunity for me and my family in Madison County," says Dr. Lollar, who is a familiar face in the district, having served as an assistant principal at Germantown High School since 2014. Lollar was recently honored as the Mississippi Association of Secondary School Principals’ Assistant Principal of the Year for 2023.

“We are thrilled for Dr. Lollar to take the lead at MCTC and have full confidence that under his leadership the outstanding programs available at MCTC will continue to thrive and grow,” says Madison County Schools Superintendent Charlotte Seals.

As principal of MCTC, Dr. Lollar will oversee the career and technical programs offered at MCTC to high school students from across Madison County Schools. Classes at MCTC prepare and test students for certifications to be nursing assistants, pharmacy technicians, graphic designers, construction technology specialists, unmanned aerial drone operators, and automobile technicians, among other programs such as preparing students for careers in teaching. Students at Germantown High School, Madison Central High School, Ridgeland High School, and Velma Jackson High School can enroll in classes during the school day at MCTC in addition to the academic courses offered at each student’s home campus.

He and his wife Amanda, who serves as the school nurse at Velma Jackson High School, have four children who are students in the Maverick Zone: Harrison, Marin, Brandt, and Leighton.
