COVID cases sit at 35 in Madison schools

There have been 35 positive cases of COVID-19 among students throughout Madison County and another 22 faculty and staff impacted, according to data from the State Department of Health. The state also reports two outbreaks at schools in the county, though they don’t say where.

The data were updated Tuesday, Sept. 12 and specific schools are not named.

A total of 3,233 cases have been reported throughout the county, with 86 deaths. 

Statewide, there have been 94,573 total cases and 2,870 deaths. Hospitalizations, patients in the ICU and on ventialtors continue to decrease.
