RIDGELAND — After less than two years of being open for business, the Starbucks on County Line Road will receive a facelift, city officials said.

“This is a good-looking project,” Public Works Director Alan Hart said.

The project will include revisions to the architecture and landscaping of their existing location at 832 E. County Line Road.

The scope of work will include work on the ceiling, flooring, finishings, and furnishings as well as work on the electrical systems and HVAC equipment in the building.

The renovation was unanimously approved by the Architectural Review Board.

Aldermen unanimously approved the site plan and architectural review for the project at their regular meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Ridgeland City Hall.

During the meeting, Mayor Gene F. McGee said it was his understanding a “big-time guy” from Starbucks came through the County Line store and decided it needed the improvements to be more consistent with the current look and standards of other Starbucks locations.
