Camden man arrested for theft at Neshoba casino

A Madison County man has been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of a vehicle from the a Neshoba County casino on Saturday.

Lasamuel Lamont Harris, 28, 213 Carthage Road, Camden, was arrested and charged with felony motor vehicle theft and burglary of a dwelling in Neshoba County.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said a 2019 Ford Expedition was reported stolen from the Golden Moon Casino on Saturday, July 17. 

He said the vehicle was recovered due to a quick response by Choctaw Police Department and assistance from the Forest Police Department.  

A Neshoba County Sheriff’s Investigator responded to the complaint and took custody of Harris on Friday afternoon from the Forest Jail.

Jail records show that Harris remained Tuesday afternoon in the Neshoba County Detention Center and has been denied bond.
