Germantown High School’s new $44 million Performing Arts Complex, when completed, will give students a new auditorium, extra classrooms, and much more.

Plans were drawn by JBHM Architecture, and construction is being done by AnderCorp, a Gulfport-based company with a Jackson office.

The new complex is estimated to be about 96,000 square feet and will include a two-story, 1,200-seat auditorium, a newly-renovated music hall, 24 new classrooms, and faculty accommodations. Improvements are also being made to campus infrastructure.

Madison County Schools aims to have the work completed in time for the 2024 school year.

Site work is currently underway during the summer downtime.

Germantown High School finished the 2023 school year with about 1,377 students and expects to see 323 new freshmen in 2024 to replace the class of 2023, which had 293 seniors.
