2 hired at Ridgeland Parks

Ridgeland Recreation and Parks recently welcomed two new hires to the city, Carly Brandon and Ben McDonald, to help Ridgeland grow and make things more enjoyable for residents through events and other festivities. 

Brandon was hired as new Sponsorship and Marketing Coordinator for Recreation and Parks. 

Brandon grew up in Ridgeland and graduated from Ridgeland High School in 2006, before graduating from Tulane University. 

Brandon is married to Justin Brandon and has two children, Mason and Ella James. 

McDonald also joined Recreation and Parks as the new Special Events Coordinator, and said he wants to help the city grow. 

“I look forward to helping the City of Ridgeland grow and improve its quality of life through various events for everyone,” McDonald said. 

McDonald comes to Ridgeland with years of experience coordinating athletic events with various organizations throughout the state. 

He is also the Bicycle Safety Ambassador for Bike Walk Mississippi, a member of the Tri-County Mountain Bike Association, and a Mississippi College graduate. He is married to Taylor McDonald.
