Week 11 High School Pick’em

One of the biggest matchups between Madison County teams of the entire year is set for Friday night as MRA travels to take on Jackson Prep. The state’s two best MAIS teams will play for the one-seed in the MAIS 6A playoffs and a district title, so there is a lot at stake in Friday night’s matchup. There should be plenty of offensive fireworks in this one, with Prep averaging 44.1 points per game and MRA averaging 45.4 points per game. 

This week’s guest picker is MRA state champion volleyball head coach and MRA alum Ross Dorr. Dorr is a 1994 graduate of MRA where he was a member of MRA's first Overall Championship basketball team. He went onto play college basketball at Southern Miss and Delta State. He has now been the Head Coach of the MRA volleyball program, where he just led the Patriots to their first state title in school history earlier this week, and has worked for the Ridgeland Fire Department for over 20 years.
