MADISON- Police are investigating reports of shots fired in a Madison subdivison early Thursday morning, authorities say.

On July 11, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Madison Police Department received several 911 calls in regards to shots being fired in the Northbay Subdivision, MPD Lt. Micah Taylor said. 

“The Madison Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident and we believe that this is an isolated event with no additional threat to public safety,” Taylor said 

Shortly after receiving the 911 calls, officers arrived on scene and located a house on Long Cove Drive that was struck several times with bullets in which no injuries were reported, according to Taylor.
