Rice Road closures set for Entergy work

RIDGELAND- A portion of Rice Road will be closed Monday so that Entergy can perform upgrades on power lines in the area, Entergy spokesman Sandy Powlet said.

With the help of Ridgeland Police, we’ll close Rice Road between the Rice Road Trailhead Pavilion and Harbor Road on Monday, May 22, from 9 to 11 a.m., Powlett said.

“One way Entergy increases our resiliency during storms and improves day-to-day reliability for our customers is by upgrading our facilities,” Powlett said. “Tuesday’s closure on Harbor Drive was a part of that effort, and we’re grateful for the community’s patience.” 

On the morning of Tuesday, May 16, Entergy crews were working on a portion of Harbor Drive. Powlett said Monday’s closure will be a continuation of that project.
