Portion of Yandell shut for months

A portion of Yandell Road was closed yesterday for at least two months to replace two bridges.
“Please be advised that Yandell Road will close on May 29th for approximately 70 days between Coventry Lane and Hampton Hills Boulevard to replace two bridges,” county spokesman Heath Hall said.
According to Hall, this portion of Yandell Road will be closed for the duration of the project.
Hall said the designated detour route will take drivers south down North Old Canton Road to Clarkdell and back up to Yandell and will be signed accordingly.
Hall announced the closure earlier this month.
