MADISON — A suspect is still being sought in last week’s Northbay motorcycle shooting.

A man on a motorcycle allegedly shot into a dwelling, the authorities said.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the Madison Police Department are asking for the public’s help in locating and identifying a person on the motorcycle.

The jacket worn by the suspect driver is similar to or is possibly manufactured by Ride Rich.

The Madison Police Department advises that this person is a suspect in a shooting into an occupied dwelling that occurred on Thursday, July 11, at about 5:30 a.m. in Northbay.

According to MPD Lt. Micah Taylor, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Madison Police Department received several 9-1-1 calls in regard to shots being fired in the neighborhood.

“The Madison Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident, and we believe that this is an isolated event with no additional threat to public safety,” Taylor said

Shortly after receiving the 9-1-1 calls, officers arrived on scene and located a house on Long Cove Drive that was struck several times with bullets. No injuries were reported, according to Taylor.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Madison Police Department at (601) 856-6111 or 9-1-1.
