Mayor signs proclamation

Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler signs proclamations for the Annandale Chapter of the DAR with members Kathy Laurent, Myra Cook and Beth Herring in attendance. 

One proclamation sets Nov. 1 as National Family Literacy Day in Madison to highlight the importance of reading and learning. 

The other proclaims November as National Native American Month in Madison to acknowledge the significant influence on our nation by Native Americans.
