The director of financial aid for Holmes Community College has been tapped by the Madison-Ridgeland Rotary Club as its President-Elect. Clate Holleman, Ed.D., will serve a one-year term in 2024-2025 in the leadership role with the local service club. Holleman will then serve as the club’s president in 2024-2025.

“I am grateful for this opportunity to serve a prestigious organization like the Madison-Ridgeland Rotary Club and help make a positive impact in the Madison-Ridgeland community,” Holleman said.

Holleman has served in a variety of roles across in higher education through his career, including assistant director of financial aid for Belhaven University, and as a financial aid administrator and in student outreach and fundraising for the University of Mississippi, his alma mater.

He and his wife Virginia have three children, John (6), Ben (3), and Grace (10 months). They attend Christ United Methodist Church.

“Within Rotary, we emphasize the values of community service and leadership development. Upon joining our organization, Clate demonstrated an exceptional passion for both leadership and community service, and we are excited about the skills he brings to our club,” said current M-R Rotary President Janet Parker.
