Highway Patrol investigating fatal wreck

FARMHAVEN — The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal crash on Highway 16 near Miggins Road involving a pedestrian early Wednesday.
At about 4:44 a.m., on July 20 the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the fatal accident, officials said.
A 1999 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 50-year-old Leroy Barnes of Carthage was traveling west on Highway 16 when he hit 28-year-old Javaris D. Mack of Canton, according to MHP spokesman Kervin Stewart.
Mack was pronounced dead at the scene, Stewart said.
