High-tech medical facility under construction
MADISON – Another state-of-the-art medical facility is under construction off of the Highland Colony Parkway here.
The medical facility, which will feature offices for Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Jackson Eye Associates (JEA), and Mississippi Retina Associates (MRA), broke ground in November 2022 behind Primos Cafe off of Baptist Drive. The additional offices will provide general and specialty medical care to the growing Madison County market.
Mayor Mary Hawkins-Butler, city officials, and representatives from Baptist, JEA, and MRA were present at the groundbreaking.
Codaray Construction is the contractor and Dean Architecture is the architect.
CEO and Administrator for Mississippi Baptist Bobbie Ware said during the groundbreaking that the new facility is an estimated $35 million investment in medical infrastructure and is more than just another office building since it will provide specialty medical care.
This construction will expand Baptist’s offerings in Madison, which include cardiology, primary care, orthopedic services, women’s and pediatric care, ear, nose, and throat care rehabilitation, and eye care services with leading-edge diagnostic technology and advanced medical capabilities.
The facility is scheduled to be completed this December and is estimated to be around 100,000 square feet.
