Gluckstadt Fitness owner TJ Sullivan said she wants her gym to have a strong sense of community and be a place for the whole family to come and work out together.

“We have families coming in to exercise,” Sullivan said. “It’s not just men or just women. People bring their kids in here to work out and overall it’s a very positive environment.”

Sullivan purchased Gluckstadt Fitness, formerly known as Stark Fitness, in November 2022 along with her husband Parker Sullivan, whose family owns Sullivan’s Marketplace on Calhoun Station Parkway.

She said she has always had a passion for fitness and saw an opportunity when Stark Fitness went on the market.

“I really wanted a gym, so we purchased Stark Fitness when the previous owners wanted to sell it,” Sullivan said. “We wanted to change the name from Stark Fitness to give it a fresh start.

Since purchasing the gym last year, it’s doing really well and we’ve had quite a large increase of members since taking over.”

Individual memberships at Gluckstadt Fitness are $40 each, and family plans are $65 each. Sullivan said there is no joining fee or annual fee, and group fitness and childcare are offered as part of the membership. Personal training is also available with a free consult when you sign up.

“We’re excited to be here and have a positive impact on the community,” Sullivan said.

The website is still under construction. People can come in to sign up. $40 for an individual plan, $65 for a family plan, and there is no joining fee or annual fee. Group fitness and child care are also offered.

Gluckstadt Fitness is located at 109 Dees Drive in Gluckstadt and is open 24 hours a day. For more information, call the gym at (601) 856-9111.
