Gluckstadt firefighters respond to Tuesday evening fire

Gluckstadt firefighters responded to a house fire on Catlett Road Tuesday evening.

Gluckstadt Fire Department Chief Henry Davis said the department received a call of a house fire on Catlett Road around 6:04 p.m. on Tuesday. He said the tenants of the house were outside when firefighters arrived.

Davis said the fire was “quickly contained and extinguished” and that no injuries were reported. Davis noted that the house was old and would likely be declared a loss.

Davis also said it looked like the owners were doing some work on the house.

No cause of the fire is known at this time. The fire remains under investigation.
