RIDGELAND — Four have been arrested in connection with a shooting in the Hawthorn Green subdivision last weekend..

Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers said these four have been charged in the Shooting into a Dwelling case which occurred on Saturday, Feb. 3, in the Hawthorn Green subdivision.

“I would like to thank our officers and detectives for their dedication and determination as we responded, investigated, developed and pursued these suspects,’ Myers said.

He said two of those arrested will be charged as adults although they are under the age of eighteen. Those two are Terrence Terrill Watson and Moeshia Tateuna Tawanaa Paige.

Paige, 17, of 409 Houston Avenue, Jackson was arrested and charged with shooting into a dwelling and conspiracy.

Terrence Terrill Watson, 16, of 1805 Hospital Drive, Jackson was arrested and charged with the same.

Authorities have also identified Jazanae Alondria Johnson and Marquerious Lecell Martin as individuals charged in this case.

Martin, 20, of 3664 Newman Avenue, Jackson, and Johnson, 19, of 4662 Kirkland Drive, Jackson, were both arrested and charged with shooting into a dwelling and conspiracy.

Ridgeland Police Department officers responded to the report of multiple shots fired into a home located in the Hawthorn Green subdivision off of William Boulevard on Saturday, Feb. 3, at approximately 12:14 a.m., Myers said.

“There was no one at home during the incident and there were no injuries,’ Myers said.

Investigators were called out and the scene was thoroughly processed for evidence, he said. This incident stems from an ongoing dispute between a juvenile resident of this home and another female, according to Myers.

Johnson and Paige were the first two arrested, according to Myers.

Jail records show Watson and Martin were arrested on Friday, Feb. 9.

“With the assistance of the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force we were able to safely arrest Martin and Watson this morning in Jackson,” Myers said. “Valuable evidence has been recovered to link these suspects to this crime.”

All will be held with No Bond in the Madison County Detention Center. Preliminary Hearings are set for Tuesday, Feb. 27.
