Faye Holland King of Madison, Mississippi passed away peacefully on May 22, 2024 at the age of 82 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. 

The first of two daughters, Faye was born in Meridian, MS on January 27, 1942, to the late Earl and Bernadine Holland. She spent her childhood in Canton, graduating as the Valedictorian from Canton High School in 1960. She continued her studies at The University of Mississippi where she earned degrees in History and German in 1964. 

While raising her sons, she was an active PTO member and never missed the chance to cheer her boys on in their various school activities. She enjoyed running an import/export company based in Yugoslavia as well as cellular phone businesses located in Jackson and Atlanta. 

She is survived by her husband Denny of 60 years and sons: Dennis (Lisa) of Oxford and Wes (Linda) of Madison. She was “Granny” to: Ryan (Stormie) of Shreveport, Sean (Kristina) of Madison, Weston (Madison) of Dallas, Katie of Birmingham and Dennis (Destiny) of Oxford. Faye was also blessed with great-grandchildren Boston, Karter, Emmi, and baby King (due in June) of Shreveport and Lucy and Clayton of Madison. 

She is also survived by her sister Barbara (Mike) Hardy of North Carolina, her brother-in-law Jack (Kay) King of Batesville and her sister-in-law Betty Self of Dallas. 

Funeral services were held May 28, 2024 at Parkway Funeral Home.
