Dragonboat Regatta rescheduled

The Madison County Chamber of Commerce's largest annual fundraiser the Dragon Boat Regatta has been rescheduled from this weekend to May 9, 2020.
The event was originally rescheduled from May to September, but will now be moved to back to May.
That means, effectively, there will be no event in 2019.
The Chamber of Commerce did not make any formal announcement on its web site or on its Facebook page, nor did it return calls for comment for this story. The dates on the online advertisements for the event were retroactively changed.
Multiple attempts to contact Chamber officials went unanswered.
