Support for Madison County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Sullivan continues to pour in from around the county.

Sullivan was shot in the head following a high-speed chase through the northern part of the county on the morning of Sept. 5.

Posts with testimonials and well-wishes have appeared online in the Facebook Group Praying for Brad Sullivan since the incident, including messages from former Mississippi State baseball star Jake Mangum, singer-songwriter Randy Houser and rocker Ted Nugent.

This week, a fundraiser at Grills of Mississippi and BBQ Supply Store in Ridgeland raised $5,470 to support his family while he recovers.

The next event supporting Sullivan is scheduled for next weekend at the Turcott Shooting Facility on Mississippi 43 in Canton.

Turcotte is sponsoring a clay-shooting tournament, set for 8 a.m. on Nov. 9 which will feature four-man shooting teams for shotguns and an individual 3D bow shoot.

The shooting teams will be made up of four-person teams at $75 per shooter. The bow shoot is $15 per contestant.

Turcotte says all proceeds from the event will be donated to support Sullivan.

The administrators of the Praying for Brad Sullivan Facebook group also teased an event tentatively scheduled for Dec. 13 that will feature an appearance by Tomi Lahren, co-host of Fox Nation on the Fox News Channel, as well as other special guests.

Further details about that event were unavailable at press time.

Support also continues to roll in across the globe for Sullivan.
