Christmas recycling beginning on Dec. 27

RIDGELAND – A Christmas Tree Recycling Program will be run by the city’s Recreation and Parks Department starting Dec. 27.

Those with trees they wish to recycle may drop the tree off at Freedom Ridge Park, 235 West School Street. 

Trees must be bare. This means all lights, ornaments, stands, and nails must be removed before drop off, or they will not be accepted. 

Trees can be dropped off at the park through Jan. 5. Please do not place trees in a bag.

Those who have a use for the trees can pick them up from the city.
