Bobby Dale Crocker of Ridgeland, Mississippi passed away on October 21, 2021, at the age of 81. 

He was born in Union, Mississippi on January 4, 1940 to Virner Otto Crocker and Edna Williamson Crocker and raised in Indianola, Mississippi. He was the middle child of eight children. He graduated from Linn High School in 1959 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. After the Air Force, he served the citizens of Greenville, Mississippi as a member of the Greenville Police Department for many years. 

He worked in the Life Insurance industry for 30 years for both Woodmen of the World and the Independent Order of Foresters. He received his Fraternal Insurance Counselor (FIC) and Fraternal Insurance Counselor Fellow (FICF) designations. 

Bobby was predeceased by four of his siblings, Agnes Crocker Roberson, Charles W. Crocker, Charlene Crocker James and Virgie "Dolly" Crocker Smithhart. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Linda Crocker of Ridgeland, Mississippi, his son, Jimmy D. Crocker (Julie) of Little Rock, Arkansas, his grandchildren, Lindsay M. Crocker, of Homewood, Alabama and James Fuller Crocker of Mountain Brook, Alabama, his step-grandchildren, Kayla G. Carr of Gulfport, Mississippi and William "Clay" Carr of Auburn, Alabama, his three siblings, Brenda Crocker Groover (Joe), Vernice Crocker Few and Joe Lee Crocker, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service celebrating Bobby's life is being planned for a later date.

This endowed scholarship helps children from Washington and Sunflower County with educational expenses while attending DSU.
