Benji Nelson, CEO and owner of Ben Nelson Golf & Outdoor, recently announced the business located in Gluckstadt would be merging with an outfit in Kansas.

In a prepared letter to clients and the public, Nelson explained the new business arrangements.

“It brings me immense joy to share our merger with Kansas Golf & Turf, made possible through an investment by the private equity firm Strength Capital,” Nelson explained. “Kansas Golf & Turf, based in Wichita, stands as a leading dealer and distributor for prominent brands like E-Z-GO, Jacobsen, and Hustler Turf. Their territorial reach spans Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Colorado, and western Arkansas.

“Their DNA is very similar to ours in that they are a family-owned business founded by the McGreevy family in 1992,” Nelson continued. “Their CEO, Corey McGreevy, has been a friend and advisor of mine for many years. He and I have leaned on each other through the years as we have both grown our companies to record success. Corey and I have strengths and weaknesses that complement each other, and we have said for years that our companies would be stronger than we are apart. This merger formalizes what has already been an informal relationship between us for many years.”

Nelson said from the customer perspective, there will be little noticable difference and there will be no name change.

“This merger makes our company stronger and allows us to serve you better,” Nelson added.
