Woman dies in wreck on Miss. 43
A Sharon woman was fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident on Mississippi 43 in Madison County on Tuesday.
Cleo Chester, 67, of Sharon died when her vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree, the authorities said.
Mississippi Highway Patrol Corporal Marcus L. White said that just after 5 p.m., MHP was advised of a one-vehicle crash in Madison County north of Sharon.
Preliminary reports indicate that a 2009 Buick Enclave driven by Chester was traveling north on Mississippi 43 when for unknown reasons it left the roadway and collided with a tree on the southbound shoulder.
Chester suffered fatal injuries and died as a result of the crash. White said that she was the only occupant in the vehicle and was not wearing her seatbelt.
This crash is currently under investigation and more information will be released pending the outcome of this investigation.
