TrustCare Kids welcomes new pediatrician
TrustCare has announced the addition of pediatrician Dr. Jennifer Ellzey to its TrustCare Kids clinic in Gluckstadt, expanding the clinic's primary care and specialized services.
Ellzey, who is board-certified in both pediatrics and obesity medicine, brings more than 14 years of experience to the role, including a specialty in autism diagnostic evaluations for children under five.
She will begin taking appointments for primary care, as well as providing support for children with autism and ADHD, on July 14.
“TrustCare’s mission to provide more accessible and inclusive care to families aligns precisely with why I chose a career in pediatric healthcare,” Ellzey said in a statement. “Whether a child’s needs can be met with a quick visit or longer-term ongoing care, our team will be here to make life easier.”
Warren Herring, President and CEO of TrustCare, said Ellzey's expertise will be a significant asset to the community.
"In addition to her wealth of knowledge and compassion, her experience supporting children with developmental, behavioral, and autism spectrum disorder needs and fluency in Spanish will further our mission to make quality care more accessible for families in our communities," Herring said.
A Mississippi native, Ellzey graduated from the University of Mississippi and the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. She completed her pediatrics residency at Children's Mercy in Kansas City, where she worked as a primary care pediatrician for 10 years.
Prior to joining TrustCare, she worked at the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine in Madison and Discovery Developmental Pediatrics in Jackson, focusing on children with developmental and behavioral concerns.
TrustCare Kids operates three area clinics in Gluckstadt, Brandon, and Madison, offering both primary and urgent pediatric care with evening and weekend hours.
