Tri-County cruises to 48-7 victory against Riverfield

Tri-County Academy hosted the Riverfield Academy Raiders Friday night in a key MAIS Division 4A-3 matchup. 

The defending 4A state champions came to Flora with a record of 1-2, needing a win to keep pace with the undefeated Tri-County Rebels in the conference.  

The Tri-County offense struck early and often, amassing a 42-0 lead by halftime. The game ended with Tri-County cruising to a 48-7 win. 

Tri-County’s offense had 471 total yards with 402 coming on the ground. The Tri-County offense was led by Zac Clark and Trace Dearman. Clark had 189 yards on 14 carries scoring 3 touchdowns. Dearman added 104 yards on 8 carries scoring one touchdown. 

The Tri-County defense held the Riverfield offense to only 112 total yards. The defense was led by Hayden Walker, who had 7 tackles with 3 for loss and Brayden Presley, who had 3 tackles and assisted in 5 others. The undefeated Rebels will host cross county rival Madison St. Joe Friday night in Flora.
