Tri-County Academy wins MAIS Class 4A State Championship

On Friday night, the Tri-County Academy football team wrapped up their 2021 campaign by winning the school’s fifth state championship.
Tri-County defeated Kirk Academy 44-22 to win the MAIS Class 4A State Championship.
Tri-County finished the season 13-1 with their only loss a 19-18 hard fought battle with Adams Christian School.
Most of this group of seniors have played together since elementary football.
They have proven to be a band of brothers, fighting through injuries, and always picking each other up.
Friday was the fulfillment of the goal they had set many years ago.
