RIDGELAND — Reservations are filling up as the first Topgolf in Mississippi prepares to open its doors next week.

The long-anticipated Topgolf venue will open to the public on Friday, Dec. 20.

Ridgeland Mayor Gene F. McGee said he thinks the new venue is a good sign of Ridgeland’s continued economic growth.

"I am thrilled to welcome Topgolf to Ridgeland and honored they have chosen our city as the first location in Mississippi,” McGee said. “This development isn't just about economic growth; it's a true destination point for friends and families to come together.”

This is the first Topgolf in Mississippi the renowned recreation brand’s 108th location globally, said Topgolf Chief Operating Officer Erin Chamberlin.

"We've been hearing from the great people of Ridgeland and surrounding areas for a while now, and we couldn't be more excited to finally announce the first Topgolf in Mississippi is here,” Chamberlin said. “What a fantastic community to kick off our expansion to Mississippi in – everyone has been friendly and eager to experience our unique style of play, and we can't wait to deliver for them.”

The venue is located at 120 Topgolf Way near the corner of Sunnybrook Road and Colony Park Boulevard, just off Interstate 55. The venue will have its grand opening and ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. on Dec. 20. They will be open daily from 9 a.m. to midnight.

Gabriel Prado, CEO & President of PraCon Global Investment Group, the developer, said Topgolf will represent more than 200 jobs in Ridgeland.

“Topgolf is the No. 1 entertainment venue in the world,” Prado said. “I think Mississippi is the greatest place to live. Topgolf bringing a location here recognizes this.”

Jason Sartain, director of operations for the Ridgeland location, said the facility will feature a restaurant and bar, event spaces, and more than 60 hitting bays. This location is also one of the first to feature their newly designed nine-hole mini-golf course.

Sartain said between 600 and 700 people locally have “put their hands on this facility” in some fashion to make the idea a reality.

McGee said he is excited to see the impact the entertainment venue can bring to the surrounding area.

“Additionally,” McGee said. “I’m proud to share that one of Topgolf's priorities is to give back to the communities they serve, whether providing unique opportunities for local schools, retirement communities or charitable giving endeavors. Topgolf's decision to call Ridgeland home reaffirms our city's appeal and our continued growth."

Topgolf is an anchor tenant for Prado Vista, a 77-acre mixed-use development that will include hotels, a national grocery chain, another entertainment venue and more than 100,000 square feet of office, retail and restaurant space. The development will also include more than 200 homes for sale and a riverwalk.
