State, local officials investigate diesel spill near Camden

County officials have reported a leak of thousands of gallons of diesel fuel into a roadside ditch off of Highway 43 Wednesday morning.

County spokesman Heath Hall said Madison County Emergency Management personnel have responded to a gas station located at 5672 Highway 43 near Camden.

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality and other agencies will also respond to the scene, Hall said.
