St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is proud to announce that two members of the Class of 2025 have been named semifinalists in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program.

Celia Lane and Pranav Reddy are two of only nine such students in Mississippi. The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was founded in 1964 to recognize the most distinguished high school seniors in the country. This represents one of many exceptional accomplishments among St. Andrew’s class of 2025.

With an average ACT score of 30, the 65 members of the class of 2025 have been accepted at over 130 colleges and universities and received almost $11 million in merit scholarships.

Mattie Ellis received the prestigious Jefferson Scholarship at the University of Virginia. She is one of 36 students among 2500 nominees to receive the highly selective scholarship this year. Additionally, Jackson Morris will be attending Mississippi State University with the school’s Presidential Scholarship. Other full-ride scholarships awarded to the class of 2025 include the Morehead-Cain Scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Stamps Scholarship at the University of Mississippi, the Trustee Scholarship at Boston University, and an appointment to the United States Naval Academy.

The St. Andrew’s senior class also includes 13 National Merit Finalists and 8 STAR students (as well as their 8 chosen faculty members) as named by the Mississippi Economic Council. Verena Bhagat was named Mississippi’s top ALL-STAR scholar, receiving the Kelly Gene Cook, Sr. STAR Scholarship. Richard Burrow and Celia Lane were also recognized as top 20 ALL-STARS.
