St. Andrew’s announced former Mississippi College and Holmes County Community College assistant coach Justin Roberts as its new boys soccer head coach.

Roberts has vast coaching experience at the high school and collegiate levels and hopes to bring that experience to continue the successful tradition of the St. Andrew’s soccer program.

“I’m thankful to have been chosen to have a role in the St. Andrew’s family,” Roberts said in a statement. “The Saints Boys Soccer program has been established as a beacon of success due to the teams’ on-field achievements, the character of the student athletes who have built the program, as well as the academic and athletic opportunities that players have earned after graduation. We will work to honor that tradition and continue to find ways to make improvements in the seasons to come.”

Roberts is a native of Pearl and played collegiately at Belhaven and the University of Mobile, earning all-conference honors during his college career. He continued his playing career internationally, playing professionally in Brazil, Australia, Scotland, and Nepal.

After finishing his playing career, Roberts moved back to Mississippi to begin his coaching career. Roberts won championships as an assistant coach at Pearl High School and Holmes County Community College, before taking an assistant coach position at Mississippi College.

Roberts has also served as a director for Brilla Juniors Soccer Club and Mississippi Rush United, while also being a U.S. Soccer Educator. He holds USSF A and USSF National Youth licenses as well.

St. Andrew’s has a storied soccer program, including a dominant stretch from 2021-2024, where the program brought home three state titles. The Saints also finished as the state runner-up in this year’s state tournament.

Roberts will look to continue the success of the St. Andrew’s soccer program in the years to come.
