Rotary Club to host inaugural Fourth Fest

The Gluckstadt Rotary Club will host the city's first-ever Fourth Fest on July 4, bringing a new Independence Day celebration to the community.

The family-centered event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the lot next to the Police Station off of Gluckstadt Way.

Organizers say the festival will feature live music, food trucks, inflatables, face painting, and other activities. 

Personnel from the Gluckstadt police and fire departments will also be at the event to interact with the public.

Mayor Walter Morrison said he hopes to see the celebration become an annual tradition and noted that the city hopes to organize a parade starting next year.

“I hope this is a great success,” Morrison said. “I will try to make it out there for sure.”
