Ridgeland police arrest serial robber

RIDGELAND — A Mendenhall woman was arrested and charged in connection with two armed robberies here.

The woman, Ahmarionna Sahdae Thornton, 22, was arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery, according to RPD Lt. Brett Bertucci.  

Bertucci said Thornton is accused of robbing the Shell station at 1108 E. County Line Road on Thursday, Aug. 1, and the Liquor Lodge off of South Pear Orchard Road a week later on Aug. 8.

She was arrested on Aug. 11.

Thornton was arrested at approximately 9 p.m. near the intersection of County Line Road and Pear Orchard Road after officers saw her walking in the area. 

Thornton remains in custody in the Madison County Detention Center.
