Richard "Dick" Sturtevant, a native of Lowell, Massachusetts, and a long-time resident of Memphis, died Sunday, June 21, 2020, in Jackson, Mississippi. He had lived in the Jackson area for the past five years. Born February 10, 1928 to the late Mildred Cork and Walter Sturtevant, he served in the U.S. Navy from March 1946 - December 1947. Dick had a lengthy career with the U.S. Postal Service and in retirement continued to enjoy golfing, and bowling.

Dick is survived by his wife Elsie Power Jones Sturtevant of Ridgeland; his children: Donna Harkness (Furniss), Memphis; Gary Sturtevant (Sherrie), Springfield, MO; Sandra Croom (Scott), Gilmer, TX; and Scott Sturtevant (Karen), Memphis. He is also survived by stepchildren; Robin Jones, (Susan), Marshall, VA; Reeves Jones (Dorothy), Canton, MS, and Elise Turner (Lloyd), Jackson, MS. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marion Frick Sturtevant, as well as his parents and two siblings Eileen and Walter.

Memorials may be made to the Senior Adult Ministry at First Presbyterian Church, Jackson, Mississippi or to the Alzheimer's Association.
