A Realtor accused of simple assault remains out on bond and will appear in court in March after his initial appearance scheduled this month was waived by his attorney.

Casey Jonathon Bridges, 38, was arrested and charged with simple assault in late November.

Bridges posted a $1,000 bond and was released with a court date of Dec. 17 in Madison Municipal Court.

Madison Police said that Bridges’ attorney waived the initial appearance. Bridges’ next court date is set for March 8, 2021.

Bridges was arrested after reportedly trying to pull in a female client or a kiss on Nov. 24 while he was showing a house.

Major Robert Sanders with the Madison Police Department said that on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 3:58 p.m., officers received a call from a female regarding unwanted sexual advances made by a Realtor showing a house at 250 Ina Drive in Madison.

Responding officers located the female standing outside of the residence and she stated that she had scheduled an appointment to view the house. She was met at the residence by Bridges who is a Realtor for Hopper Properties.

The victim stated that while Bridges was showing the house, he began making inappropriate statements and at one point, attempted to pull the victim towards him and kiss her.

The victim was able to leave the residence and notify law enforcement.

Upon arrival, officers took Bridges into custody without incident and he was booked on a charge of simple assault.
