Police continue search for suspect in burglary
The Ridgeland Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a recent car burglary.
Police have released pictures of a black male, wearing a white T-shirt with a print, black baseball cap and gray backpack. The pictures appear to be taken from the security camera of a convenience store.
RPD Lt. Brian Myers said that the man is a suspect in a car burglary that was reported at the Goodyear Tire Store on Highway 51 on July 23. The alleged incident occurred around 6:10 p.m.
Myers said the vehicle was left unlocked.
“It is so important that vehicle owners remove their valuable items from their vehicles and lock their doors,” Myers said. “We believe this suspect was on foot in the area of Ridgewood Road and Highway 51. He may have been seen by many motorists and business owners and could even be a regular in the area.”
