New sushi restaurant is a dream come true

Kevin Tang, the owner of the new sushi and hibachi restaurant on Chruch road across from Germantown High School, said they have been busy ever since they opened their doors last week.

“We just opened and have already had return customers,” Tang said. “We have been very popular and very busy.”

Tang said he is looking to hire additional staff to accommodate the influx of customers.

Blue Fuji Sushi and Grill is located at 346 Church Road Building 200 Suite F, here in Gluckstadt. Tang opened his doors on Wednesday, Sept. 18. 

They offer Japanese take out such as sushi, sashimi and hibachi. Tang said they have other offerings as well and thinks people will like the variety on the menu.

Tang said owning a restaurant like this has been a long-time dream of his. 

Originally from south China, he has been in the United States for about 15 years. Previously, he has worked in restaurants in New York City and most recently Hibachi Express in Clinton.

For about the past year-and-a-half he has been working on Blue Fuji, his dream restaurant.

Tang said he now looks forward to serving sushi and sashimi made from the freshest ingredients to the Gluckstadt community.
