New drug looks like candy, Sheriff says

The Madison County Sheriff posted a note to Facebook Thursday afternoon warning parents of a new illegal narcotic that looks like a popular candy that could be circulating in the county.
Sheriff Randy Tucker's post describes the drug as a synthetic that is 2.5 times stronger than a traditional Xanax, a popular anxiety medication with heavy side effects. The sheriff's department warns that the drug can be lethal if mixed with alcohol.
Tucker concluded the post by asking Madison Countians to remain vigilant, and report any related information to the MCSD Narcotics Unit at (601) 859-2345.
