MHP investigating Monday crash that killed a man on I-55

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle crash on 1-55 in Madison County that killed a man Monday morning.
At approximately 6:47 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a one-vehicle crash on I-55 southbound near the 124-mile marker in Madison County, authorities said.
A 2019 Mack truck driven by Larry D. Guyton, 63, of Maben was traveling south when his vehicle left the road and struck a tree, a press release from the MHP states.
Guyton was pronounced dead at the scene by the Madison County Coroner. The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol at this time.
