RIDGELAND — Six marble slabs ended up in the middle of Highway 51 here on Friday morning after an accident, blocking traffic for about half an hour.
The incident blocked the southbound lanes of U.S. 51 in front of MEA Medical Clinic after the truck carrying the marble lost its load at about 10 a.m. on Nov. 22, according to Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers.
RPD officers and a city cleanup crew were on the scene for about 25 minutes.
Myers said no injuries were reported, and no charges are expected.
