Madison tops list of safest cities in Mississippi

Madison the City has once again been named the “Safest City” in Mississippi by Safewise, a website that specializes in safety and security.
This is the fourth year in a row Madison landed in the top spot.
“Kudos to the Madison Police Department,” Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler said. “This is one city where you’ll never hear ‘Defund the Police.’”
Ridgeland also made the list this year, landing in the sixth spot.
Other cities on the list include Brandon, Horn Lake, Ocean Springs, Olive Branch, Southaven, Gautier, Hattiesburg and D’Iberville.
