Madison Central seniors recognized

Madison Central High School hosted its annual Senior Class Day Awards on Tuesday, May 6. The following seniors were named the MCHS Principal’s Leadership Award winners: River Washington, Dylan Thomas, Wes Noland, Eshal Najam, Sofia Monico, Myles Miller, Betsy Ball, Anderson Farrar, Warren Hutchinson, and Pearl Magee. Not pictured is Hunter Persac.

Madison Central High School hosted its annual Senior Class Day Awards on Tuesday, May 6. Seniors left to right Daniela Diaz and Nilu Attar were presented the Corey Ray Memorial Scholarship. These students exemplify traits of friendship, school and community involvement and kindness.

Madison Central’s PTO joined with Front Gate Realty to offer this new scholarship. Shelley Barnes (right) with Front Gate Realty presented this award for Thames’s high academic standards as well as community involvement.

Madison Central High School hosted its annual senior class day awards presentations Tuesday, May 6. Emily Jia was named US Presidential Scholar Semifinalist for Mississippi. This is one of the nation’s highest honors for seniors. Up to 161 students across the country are awarded this distinction.

Emily Hodges, Jenny Nguyen, and Dylan Thomas were recognized for their leadership of the school newspaper The Uproar. Hodges was the business manager/social media manager. Nguyen and Thomas were the co-editors-in-chief.
