The Madison County School District is deploying MacBook computers for ninth graders at Ridgeland High School to use during classes on August 2.

Dr. Sharon Slater, ninth grade assistant principal at Ridgeland High School, said July 13 was the first MacBook deployment day, and the rollout on August 2 is for students who did not get their computers the first time.

“Ninth-grade parents and students can come to pick up their MacBooks on August 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.,” Slater said. “There is a $50 pickup fee that must be paid in cash, and checks are not accepted.”

Slater noted this fee can also be paid online at www.myschoolbucks.com.

“Parents must also have proof of residency prepared at least a day in advance,” she said.
